FJAQ

(She/her)

Jo Kirby Olongbo

Secretary General

A Franco-Central African living in Quebec City since 2012, she holds a master’s degree in land use planning and regional development. She is passionate about numerous causes, particularly those related to women and youth leadership. She has put her energy to good use within various organizations, where she has held several positions on the executive committee and board of directors.

Jo-Kirby joined the FJAQ in 2017 as the organizer of the Entrepreneurial Fair. Today, she holds the position of VP Entrepreneurship. She hopes to, on the one hand, create enthusiasm for entrepreneurship among young people of African descent, but also, and above all, to equip all those who have chosen entrepreneurship as a path to empowerment.

One of her favorite quotes is “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.”
