Accompany and equip Afro-descendant youth

To contribute to the tools of young Afro-descendants in order to address socio-professional integration issues.

A key partner for institutions

To position ourselves as the interlocutor of choice for institutions/organizations when it comes to topics related to youth and particularly those related to Afro-Quebec youth.

Historical

Founded in 2016 by young people from the Afro-descendant community of Quebec City, the Forum Jeunesse Afro-Québécois (FJAQ) is a non-profit organization that aims to be a vibrant and innovative laboratory for the integration, civic participation, and empowerment of young people of Afro-descendant descent in Quebec. Through an inclusive approach, by and for young people, the FJAQ supports the emergence of Afro-descendant leaders engaged in Quebec society.

Vision

A Quebec where young Afrodescendants are recognized as leaders, creators. s of change and the pillars of living together, fully integrated, listened to and valued in society. The QJAF aspires to become a reference organization in promoting equity, diversity and youth by actively contributing to building an inclusive and representative society.

Mission

The mission of the Forum Jeunesse Afro-Québécois (FJAQ) is to mobilize, equip and promote young Afrodescendants from Quebec in order to strengthen their civic participation, leadership and inclusion in all spheres of society.
