Attou Mamat

IEL project manager

Originally from Cameroon, Attou joined the Afro-Quebec Youth Forum in 2025 as an IEL project manager. A lawyer since 2024, Attou holds a Bachelor of Civil Law, a Juris Doctor, and a minor in Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies, all three awarded by McGill University in May 2022.

Committed to the civic participation of Quebec youth, Attou has been involved every year since 2018 in the Quebec Youth Parliament (PJQ), a non-partisan parliamentary and journalistic simulation at the National Assembly for young people aged 18 to 25. Attou’s time with the PJQ will conclude in 2025, when she will preside over the Assembly.

In her free time, Attou enjoys poetry and music. Whether with a pen in hand, a guitar on her lap, or a violin on her shoulder, she aims to create spaces for reflection and healing through artistic performance.

Attou is honored to work with the FJAQ, an organization dedicated to building a more equitable and inclusive society.
